Are there any reasons not to use retargeting?
Yes! If you are in a sensitive industry, like a dating service, you may not want to use retargeting. Remember that on a shared device, it is possible the original person who went to a site may not be the same person who sees the retargeting ad later.
Can I limit the number of times my ad is retargeted?
Yes, we can use frequency capping to limit the number of times your ad is shown. We can set frequency capping on a monthly, weekly or daily basis. Keep in mind that the best results are achieved when we reach 80% of the target audience with a frequency of at least three views per person.
Can I retarget based on demographics?
Yes, you can retarget based on characteristics such as age and gender.
Can I select which people I want to retarget to, based on their behavior on my site?
Yes, to some extent. We can exclude people who have bounced from your site, and we can exclude people who have been on your site for 10 seconds or less. Using either, or both, of these options will help you retarget people who were the most engaged on your site.
